The Poison Belt

Professor Challenger, the intrepid curmudgeon first introduced in The Lost World, discovers that the Earth is hurtling toward a belt of poisonous gas that may exterminate the human race.

He sends an urgent summons to three companions, survivors from his astonishing dinosaur expedition in South America.

And he gives them one alarming command—“Bring oxygen.”
