INFORMATION USAGE
When you make a purchase from our store, as part of the buying and selling process, we collect your personal information (e.g., your name, address, email address). When you browse our store, we automatically receive your computer’s internet protocol (IP) address. This information helps us learn about your browser and operating system. With your permission, we may send you marketing emails about our store, new products and other updates.
INFORMATION USAGE CONSENT
When you provide us with personal information to complete a transaction, verify your credit card, place an order, arrange for a delivery, or return a purchase, it is implied that you consent to collection and use of the information provided for that specific reason only. We may disclose your personal information if we are required to do so by law.
THIRD PARTY SERVICES
Third-party providers will typically collect, use, and disclose your information solely to perform the services provided to us. However, certain third-party service providers, such as those who provide payment gateways and payment processing, have their own privacy policies in regards to collecting, using, and disclosing the information that we are required to provide them in order to complete the purchase-related transaction. For those providers, we recommend that you read their particular privacy policy in order to understand the manner in which they handle your personal information. Please note that providers follow local jurisdiction, which may be different from yours or ours. If you choose to proceed with a transaction that involves the services of a third-party provider, your information may become subject to the jurisdiction’s laws in which the service provider or its facilities are located. Once you are transferred or leave our store’s website and/or are redirected to a third-party website or application, you are no longer governed by our Privacy Policy. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or policies of other sites and encourage you to read their respective privacy statements.
SECURITY
To protect your personal information, we use industry best practices and standards to make sure your information is not lost, misused, disclosed, changed, or destroyed. When you provide us with your credit card information, that information is encrypted using secure socket layer technology (SSL) and stored with AES-256 encryption. Please note that no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure, but we follow all industry standards in order to minimize and prevent fraudulent activity.
PRIVACY POLICY UPDATES
We reserve the right to modify our privacy policy at any time. Changes and/or clarifications will take immediate effect once they are posted on the website. If we make material changes to the policy, we will notify you of the update. If our store is ever acquired by or merged with another company, your information may be transmitted to the new owners.
Shipping, exchanges, missing orders, refunds, and delivery policies
Returns
Returns must be initiated within 30 days from the date of item delivery. After 30 days have passed, any possible refunds or exchanges will not be granted. To request a return, please email info@wordfire.com with your order number and the reason for the return.
Exchanges
If you’ve received a damaged product, please respond to your order confirmation with a two photos: one clearly showing the damage to the item, and another showing the barcode and text on the back of the book, and we will send a replacement.
Refunds (if applicable)
Refunds will be handled on a case-by-case basis. WordFire Press reserves the right to grant an exchange for a new item rather than issue refunds in most cases.
Shipping policy
WordFire Press uses the United States Postal Service to ship book orders. In the case of sizable orders, we may use UPS or FedEx in some instances. We occasionally offer promotional shipping deals matched to order quantities. Shipping fees are calculated by the weight of each order, with a base rate of $3.49, which is the same rate we pay our distributor.. The USPS cites delivery times with the USPS as 7 – 10 business days, although we strive to process orders as quickly as possible to get them on the way to our customers. If a book your ordered is a preorder release, please see the listing to know when to expect your book to be delivered.
If a refund is granted for an order, the shipping fee may be included in the refund, depending on the cause of the return. If the reason for the return is an error on our part or the part of our contractors, shipping fees will be refunded.
Receiving your digital products
We use Bookfunnel to deliver digital products. Once you place an order on our website, shortly afterward, you will receive an email to the email address you used to place your order, which will contain details and links to quickly access and download your purchases. If a book your ordered is a preorder release, please see the listing to know when to expect your book to be delivered. If you have any trouble or issues, please feel free to email us at info@wordfire.com and we will assist you immediately.
Missing orders
If a day goes by and you haven’t received your eBook order, please respond to your confirmation email or email info@wordfire.com with your order number so that we can make sure you receive your eBook.
Please allow at least ten business days for delivery of print books. If ten business days pass and you still haven’t received your order, please respond to your confirmation email or email info@wordfire.com with your order number so that we may look into the issue.
