Jeffrey Morris

JEFFREY MORRIS is a writer, director, and production designer focused primarily on the creation of hard science-fiction films. His projects include the forthcoming deep-space adventure PERSEPHONE and the animated techno-fantasy PARALLEL MAN. He also serves as the co-writer, narrator, and director of the new documentary THE EAGLE HAS LANDED which explores the legendary spacecraft showcased in the classic sci-fi series Space: 1999.

Morris has directed short films, commercials, music videos, and documentaries. Additionally, he has published graphic novels and award-winning science curricula. For nearly a decade, as founder of the former nonprofit Project Universe, Morris brought Hollywood-style storytelling and visuals to educational initiatives at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory, Lockheed Martin, and the International Space University.

As a lifelong science-fiction enthusiast, Morris has built a career that unifies his interests in futurism, art, education, and entrepreneurship. His role models include undersea explorer Jacques Cousteau, astronomer Carl Sagan, TV creator Gene Roddenberry, and futurist film designer Syd Mead. Early in his career, Morris worked with the musician Prince as a dancer/choreographer and eventually moved on to directing and producing for Paisley Park Studios.

Jeffrey established the ‘FutureDude’ monicker in 2012. It began as the name of his highly-successful science blog which morphed into the dba for his production company, Morris FutureWorks. Today, FUTUREDUDE ENTERTAINMENT is focused on an approach that is rooted in intelligent, optimistic action and adventure stories—each with a sensibility not seen since the golden age of science-fiction cinema in the 1960’s and 70’s.
